The above photograph lends credence to my Appalachian heritage and my love for "mountain" music. It is of my great-grandfather and his family somewhere in West Virginia.
The Krugers are special in our lives. We are no different, however, from thousands of other fans who have a unique connection to these gentlemen. Never in my interaction with the public have I encounter such social, caring, talented, and unassuming men as they.
Brenda and I were excited to see the The Krugers again, this time in Wichita Falls, Texas and then on to Guthrie, Oklahoma for the Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival where we first saw them years ago and fell in love with them and their music. This year, Maynard Holbrook returned, "one last time," but we do not believe for a minute that is the case. Once again, he had the audience standing, clapping, singing along-and crying.
We have membership cards, signed and numbered photographs and refrigerator magnets as tokens of our appreciation for fans joining the fan club. Membership fees are intended to support the website and provide for extraneous expenses. Thus far, those items have been donated, and virtually all of the membership fees paid remain in the checking account. Please visit the section, "MEMBERSHIP." CURRENTLY MEMBERSHIPS ARE FOR A LIFETIME AND COST ONLY $12! Please be patient with us in getting to you. We are waiting for some of the materials. Work frequently slows our response time.
Our membership base continues to grow. Please become part of our support group. As Brenda and another avid fan, The Judge, said to me , "you sometimes forget how great these guys really are until you hear them once again." Enough said.
